Retracing the trek

Every once in a while, it’s good to retrace our steps. In many ways, that’s exactly what Pilgrims on the Silk Road is all about.

Over the next few days I will be posting the journal entries from our journey to retrace the Mennonite trek to Central Asia from Ukraine to Uzbekistan.

The travelogue runs from our arrival in Kiev, Ukraine on May 27 through June 6th, 2007 after our tour of Ak Metchet, the old Mennonite settlement in Khiva. I hope you enjoy retracing the journey.
