During his own research into the Great Trek, Graber found himself struck by how well the group of Mennonites and the Muslims who lived at Khiva got along.“They lived together, they farmed together, they shared the same worship space,” Graber says. “It was an incredibly positive experience, a positive Muslim-Christian interaction.”
